Silverleaf Mountain Mint

$4.50

If I were forced to plant just one species to attract bees and butterflies, it would be a mountain mint. These plants have striking, fragrant silvery-white upper leaves and white/lavender spotted flowers in late summer. This herb is also an excellent honey plant and food source for bees, butterflies, and moths. They have a long blooming period and are easy to grow.  These mints grow in sun or part shade and are 2 to 3 feet tall, though some can reach 5’ when happy. Prepare to give them space as their roots tend to sprawl.

Last summer mine were literally covered in pollinators!

Great as filler plants for bouquets too.

Easy to grow from seed - I grew mine with the winter sowing method (see our journal) with great success.
